Koulla Swann is the visionary and driving force behind Reading and Newbury’s leading hair salons.

Koulla first began her career as an apprentice hairdresser in a busy London salon over 25 years ago.

One of the very first lessons Koulla learnt was that along with providing customers a great technical service, you have to exceed their expectations with quality and customer service.

Koulla has built her salons on this basic principal of great hair, great quality and great service.

Koulla Swann hair salons launched in March 2008 as ‘Essence Hair & Beauty’, in Newbury, Berkshire. As soon as the Newbury salon opened its doors it was clear that Koulla had created something special.

The quality of hair and beauty services combined with the most outstanding customer service, and a relaxing environment meant that the salon grew faster than anyone could have imagined and we recently opened our Reading Salon.

We exist to provide each and every one of our guests the services they want and deserve.
